Emergency Care
Emergency Notification
In case of emergency contact the Police, Fire Department, or Rescue Squad by dialing 911 from your mobile telephone. Provide your location: 1301 Emmet Street, Charlottesville, VA 22903.
Next,
report the emergency to the FEI Security Office at (434) 980-6217. Security personnel
are trained in first aid, cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, and the use of
automated external defibrillators (AED). A first aid pack and AED are staged in
each of the buildings on campus.
Emergency Transport
In
case of severe injury or illness, do not drive yourself to the emergency room.
Contact emergency services for an ambulance or call for commercial
transportation based on the severity and time sensitivity of the issue.
FEI staff or contractors are unable to provide non-emergency transportation. We suggest you coordinate with members of your program to assist in non-emergency situations needing transportation.
