Latonia currently serves as the Special Assistant to the Deputy Associate Director, Talent Acquisition and Workforce Shaping, where she focuses on managerial, communication, and strategic endeavors for the organization.  She joined the Office of Personnel Management in September 2012 as the Manager, Student Programs, Recruitment and Hiring Policy, with oversight of all student programs, including the Pathways Programs, of which the Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) is a key component. Prior to joining the team, Latonia served as the Executive-in-Residence at OPM's Eastern Management Development Center (EMDC). With her experience in career education and development services for government leaders, Latonia brings a wealth of operational and managerial experience to address the challenges faced by public sector organizations.  A proud PMF alumna (Class of 2001), Latonia began her career in public service with the Food and Drug Administration, where she started as an Employee and Labor Relations Specialist and went on to serve in a variety of leadership and managerial positions.  A Gulf War veteran, Latonia served eight years in the United States Air Force. In addition to a degree in social work from Texas Tech University, Latonia holds a Master’s of Science from the University of Texas at Austin.
